The IAP, administered by the Office of Elementary and Secondary Education (OESE), is a vital federal formula grant program designed to alleviate the financial burdens placed on local education agencies (LEAs). The program, created in 1950, plays a crucial role in ensuring that LEAs receive the necessary financial support to meet their educational objectives. This significant initiative is one of the largest OESE grant programs in terms of funding.
One of the key components of the IAP is the Impact Aid Grants System (IAGS), which is customized to streamline the grant application process, manage applications, calculate payments, and generate financial transactions for LEAs.
