Zip Zap IT Solutions awarded Impact Aid Program Contract by U.S. Department of Education
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Zip Zap IT, a HUBZone-certified, ISO 9001:2015 and CMMI Level 2 technology company, is pleased to announce that it has once again been awarded a five-year contract to provide Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) services for the Impact Aid Grant System (IAGS).
The Impact Aid Program (IAP), administered by the Office of Elementary and Secondary Education (OESE), is a vital federal formula grant program designed to alleviate the financial burdens placed on local education agencies (LEAs). Created in 1950, the program plays a crucial role in ensuring that LEAs receive the necessary financial support to meet their education objectives. This significant initiative is one of the largest OESE grant programs in terms of funding at $1.6B.
IAGS is a key component of the IAP, customized to streamline the grant application process, manage applications, calculate payments, and generate financial transactions for LEAs.

The 11 tasks Zip Zap IT will be supporting include: Contract/Project Administration; Develop Procedures for Phase-In and Phase-Out; Provide Independent Evaluation and IV&V Oversight of the IAGS Contract; Assist with Post-Implementation Reviews (PIR); Support Operational Analysis (OA) and Program/Project Assessments; Ensure IAGS Developer Contractor Provides and Maintains Reliable System; Ensure Compliance with Security and Privacy Requirements; Ensure Compliance with ED Contract Security Requirements; Provide Input to Ongoing OMB, IA, and Internal/External Inquiries and Regulatory Requirement; Conduct QA Reviews of Deliverables; and Verify IAGS System Compliance with Applicable Regulations, Directives, and Standards.
